The Position
  • The Chief Financial Officer directs the financial strategy and operations for Clay County Medical Center and clinics, focusing on improvements to billing, collections, timely reporting, business office and accounts receivable
  • Top goals for the Chief Financial Officer include taking an active role in new EMR implementation, introducing staff to updated and efficient processes and improving overall revenue cycle
  • The CFO interacts regularly with staff, fostering a supportive and engaging work culture; strengthen employee morale by providing opportunities for coaching and mentorship
  • This executive must have professional background as a CFO or Controller with extensive knowledge of revenue cycle management
  • Must have a strong understanding of rural health clinics and critical access hospitals

The Organization
  • Clay County Medical Center is Kansas’ #2 ranked critical access hospital for clinical care and was awarded the 2017 Governor’s Award of Excellence
  • CCMC is made up of a 25-bed critical access facility, four rural health clinics, a wound care center and 125 medical providers with plans to add two more primary care clinics and cancer care within the next two years
  • The medical center offers state–of-the-art diagnostic services through its Imaging Department which includes an in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT Scanner, Ultrasound and Digital Mammography
  • The Imaging Department is so popular that it draws patients from miles away thanks to its pay-by-cash option, making imaging services much more affordable than competing hospitals
