Seeking a collaborative and servant leader to drive best-in-class sourcing and purchasing functions across the Magnet-designated health system

The Position

  • Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Sourcing and Purchasing is responsible for developing proactive, efficient, and innovative sourcing functions for all The MetroHealth System’s service lines and departments.  
  • Areas of responsibility include capital expenditures, physician preference items, purchase services, drugs, vendor management, and contract negotiation and maximization.
  • Serve as a contributing member on two system-level value analysis committees, lead the organization-wide group purchasing organization (GPO) contract portfolio, and embed effective financial management practices and audit controls.
  • Build sustainable, strategic partnerships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • The Director will empower the team and set priorities around sourcing the best quality products at the best price, treating customers with a service orientation, and focusing on supply chain excellence. 
  • Must bring significant healthcare sourcing, contracting, and purchasing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or related professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management preferred.
