Summary

Seeking an expert in Lab Services to become the next Supervisor of Blood Bank with Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

The Position
  • The Supervisor for Blood Bank provides leadership, support, problem resolution and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Department
  • Responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of laboratory tests that assist in determination of the presence, absence, and/or causes of disease
  • Must be able to perform, provide appropriate over site, supervise and serve as the General Supervisor on a prescribed menu of clinical tests, which include those tests classified as Waived, Moderate or High Complexity testing
  • This position continuously works toward the improvement of Hardin Memorial’s operations and partners with the Laboratory Director to maintain Blood Bank departmental readiness for inspection
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of three years of Blood Bank training or experience in high complexity testing required
  • MT, MLS or CLS required
  • SBB certification highly preferred
  • Relocation assistance provided
