The Position

  • The Director, Mother & Baby Unit, is responsible for employees and activities within multiple units providing oversight to 45-beds dedicated to Mother/Baby services. 
  • Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director will oversee approximately 35+ FTEs in addition to approximately 51 direct reports and will be responsible for the oversight of operations throughout the OBGYN clinic, Labor and Delivery, NICU, and Postpartum units. 
  • The Director will serve as the subject matter expert for evidence-based practices, regulatory standards and quality patient care for the department. 
  • This position is responsible for evaluating staff competencies, department policies, and procedures to ensure best practices are in place.
  • This leader will examine current processes and models of care, conduct analysis to determine areas needing improvement, and improve quality metrics. 
  • Seeking a visible, approachable leader to establish credibility attending physicians and team members while focusing on mentoring and coaching staff, championing the community and patient-first culture, and building collaborative relationships within the department. 


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required; master’s degree is strongly preferred. 
  • Active RN license is required. 
  • Must possess a minimum of five years of related management experience.
