Interim Director ICU/ED Needed in Colorado Healthcare System

The Position

  • An Interim Director ICU/ED is needed to lead ICU and Emergency Department operations for a 200+ bed hospital.
  • This role will report directly to the Director of Patient Safety and oversee a team of 160 FTEs and two direct reports.
  • Key responsibilities include mentoring ICU managers, assisting with the transition to a new critical care group, and helping to open a new CV ICU tower.
  • The ideal candidate will be flexible, experienced in mentoring newer managers, and capable of managing challenging staff.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Active RN license required.
  • Previous healthcare experience in critical care and emergency medicine required.

Pay Details

  • Pay Range: $170,000 - $175,000 annually.
  • Final pay rate is dependent upon experience, education, training, and location.
