The Position

  • The Executive Director, Medical Group, is responsible for providing leadership and management pertaining to business operations throughout multiple outpatient clinics and service lines within Littleton Regional Healthcare.  
  • Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Executive Director will supervise the Service Line Directors, Practice Management staff, and will be accountable for financial performance of outpatient clinics, quality of care, and business operations throughout all Hospital provider services. 
  • The Executive Director will collaborate closely with physicians throughout multiple service lines to ensure optimal patient care in addition to financial, operational, and clinical success. This includes directing and overseeing operational improvements, benchmarks, and performance metrics.  
  • This Leader will ensure that that all operational procedures within both the hospital and outpatient clinics are aligned with all local, state, and federal compliance standards. This includes providing proper education for physicians and staff to ensure awareness of the skills, processes, and action plans pertaining to ongoing compliance regulations. 
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic planning which will include performing analyses, the development of business plans, and special reports to determine a proactive pathway to ensure ample opportunity for the organization to meet both short-and-long term goals.  
  • The Executive Director will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to resolve any Medical Staff issues and will assist with any operational and/or business management matters as they pertain to provider services within all Hospital Departments. 
  • This leader will serve as a liaison to the Supervisor of Health Information and Coordinator of Information and Data Services as it pertains to electronic health record management for both the hospital and outpatient clinics. 
  • Seeking an innovative leader who will value collaboration with physicians and will strive to provide a proactive, trusting, and positive work environment for all staff members. Additionally, the Executive Director must be willing to provide training, education, and mentorship when needed. 
  • Candidates will ideally bring extensive knowledge pertaining to planning/operational strategies, operational systems, healthcare payer systems, and physician practiced. In addition, this leader will have excellent communication skills to ensure transparency while effectively meeting implemented initiatives. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.  
  • Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on operational management experience within a related setting is required.
