Join McDonough District Hospital, a not-for-profit organization, as their new Vice President of Medical Group in Macomb, Illinois!  

The Position

• The Vice President of Medical Group will oversee effective implementation of all approved strategies, tactics, policies, and procedures in all practices approved by the McDonough District Hospital Medical Group Operations Council and board to support their clinics in the city of Macomb and surrounding areas.
• Meets with providers and the practice manager each month to review financial performance and discuss progress toward achieving their performance target and timeline. Works with providers to identify barriers to performance and works closely with MGOC to remove or overcome those barriers.
• Monitors the performance of internal and external vendors, on behalf of McDonough District Hospital (MDH). 
• This position oversees the Director of MDH Clinic Financial Services/HIM Manager, Clinic Supervisors, Financial Analyst, Leader of Behavioral Health and Leader of Provider Recruitment and Development.
• Focus on the development of the medical group, including oversight of the physician recruitment process, practice acquisition, and the new practice development process.
• Seeking a visible experienced, collaborative team leader with extensive knowledge in practice management.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), or related field is preferred. 
• A minimum of 5+ years of operations experience within a related ambulatory care or physician practice management is required.  

The Organization

• McDonough District Hospital (MDH) is the only hospital in McDonough County, Illinois, and is equipped with 48-licensed acute care beds and more than 500 employees. MDH has several clinics within its hospital system including rehabilitation, cardiology, pulmonology, urology, family practice, woman’s, ENT, OBGYN, Pediatrics and general surgery. 
• MDH is a not-for-profit health care provider and earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for quality care.
• Other accreditations include the College of American Pathologists, the American College of Radiology, a Level II Perinatal Center, and designation as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital and “Memory and Aging Network” site for the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.
• In February 2020, the hospital added 4,800 square feet of new building space plus 7,200 square feet of renovated space in its Women’s Center. Recent additions also include a 15-bed psych facility in 2015 and a three-floor expansion and renovation for Emergency Services, Behavioral Health, and Rehabilitation Services.
