The Position

  • The Chief Ambulatory Services Officer will oversee, direct, and coordinate all activities pertaining to clinic and ambulatory care services for Samaritan Healthcare and its affiliated locations.
  • Departmental oversight encompasses a wide range of essential services, including Outpatient Provider Clinic Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, Rehabilitation Services, Diabetic Education, Physician Recruitment, Plant Services, and Security.
  • This role will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and will involve supervising a team of nine direct reports, as well as approximately 227 FTEs.
  • This leader will endeavor to establish a highly effective leadership team, with a particular emphasis on mentoring and educating emerging leaders. Furthermore, they will collaborate to develop a residency program in partnership with Washington State University.
  • This leader will actively participate in Board Meetings and other sessions with Senior Leadership, emphasizing the critical importance of outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ideal candidates will possess extensive leadership experience, particularly within clinical and physician outpatient settings. Experience in rural healthcare is highly desirable. They must excel at building strong relationships, demonstrate high emotional intelligence, and exhibit approachability as a leader who listens to the needs of others and makes well-calculated decisions.


  • Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or similar required.
  • Must possess 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years spent in a management and/or director-level position.
