Chief Financial Officer opportunity in Nebraska!
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the senior leadership team of Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will provide the vision, leadership, direction and administration of financial systems and strategy for Faith Regional Health and Skyview Medical Management Services. This individual will work to maximize financial resources and preserve and protect the long-term financial integrity of the organization.
Faith Regional Health Services has a long tradition of delivering health care to the residents of Nebraska since 1923. Patients live in the primary and secondary service areas that encompass 13 counties in northeast and north central Nebraska.
The 128-bed acute care hospital offers Centers of Excellence in Cancer, Heart & Vascular, Home Health, Hospice, Orthopedics, Occupational Health & Wellness, Physical Rehabilitation, Sleep Disorder Center, and Women’s & Children’s. Faith Regional Health Services employs more than 1,400 individuals, one of the major employers in Norfolk and the surrounding area. Subsidiaries include Faith Regional Physician Services, Saint Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center, and Skyview Villa Assisted Living. Affiliates include Genoa Medical Facilities and Niobrara Valley Hospital. The organization also partners with local physicians in the ownership of with Faith Regional Surgery Center.
Faith Regional Health Services is a $220M organization and is financially strong with an operating margin of almost 4%. In the last two years the organization has implemented EPIC through Nebraska Medicine Community Connect and INFOR for ERP and Human Resources. The implementations were very successful, and the organization is now focused on optimizing operations around the new solutions. Revenue Cycle optimization is will be a major focus area for the new Chief Financial Officer especially in the area of reducing denials from payor organizations. The Chief Financial Officer must also assess the data infrastructure offered by the new technology solutions and create a robust decision support function.
- Master's degree (M.B.A., M.H.A. or equivalent); seven to ten years progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in:
- A community hospital setting
- Experience in new service development, service expansion and business development
- Development and deployment of reimbursement/payer strategies
- Operational finance reporting
- Decision support
- Strategic planning and emerging business models
- Revenue cycle (both hospital and professional)
- Experience preferred with value-based contracts, bundled payments, ACOs.
- CPA or FHFMA
