Faith Regional Health Services, a local, faith-based healthcare system, is in search of their next Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership to the organization. Located in Norfolk, Nebraska, they have a 131-bed acute care hospital that is accredited by the Joint Commission. 


The CFO will be responsible for assisting the CEO/ President and Board of Directors in designing the organization’s overall mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. This includes: Attending and presenting in board meeting; Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other employees such as executive directors, directors and managers, and ensuring a healthy working environment; Evaluating the success of the organization in achieving its goals and formulating plans to correct any issues if the organization is not achieving its goals; Assisting in managing the organization’s finances, identifying ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports and to prepare operating budgets.


The CFO’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting the CEO/President and the board of directors to design the organization’s overall mission, vision, values and strategic goals
  • Attending meetings with the board of directors and sharing of information; Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other employees such as executive directors, directors and managers, and ensuring a healthy working environment
  • Evaluating the success of the organization in achieving its goals and formulating plans to correct any issues if the organization is not achieving its goals
  • Assisting in managing the organization’s finances, identifying ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports and to prepare operating budgets
  • Maintaining awareness of competitors, expansion opportunities, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards

Norfolk is a city in Madison County, 113 miles northwest of Omaha and 83 miles west of Sioux City at the intersection of U.S. Routes 81 and 275. The population is ~ 25,000 making it the ninth-largest city in Nebraska. It is the principal city of the Norfolk Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Norfolk sits in the heart of the Elkhorn Valley, with the Sand Hills lying to the west and farmland to the east. The surrounding land is gently rolling. The land is mainly Marshall and Shelby series soils of good absorptive quality, retaining moisture yet providing good drainage.
