Magnet-Designated Hospital on New York Waterfront Seeking Visible Perioperative Director to Lead Ten Operating Rooms and Multiple Units!

The Position

  • Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Director serves as a key leader on Mather Hospital’s Surgical Management Team and provides operational oversight to all clinical areas within Perioperative Services, with the assistance of 3 Managers and 1 Educator.
  • Oversight areas include ten Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Endoscopy, Pre-Surgical Testing, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, Pain Management Unit, and Sterile Processing Department.
  • This collaborative leader will partner closely with physicians, anesthesia, and system and hospital leadership to drive patient outcomes, build employee engagement, and streamline departmental processes.
  • Must bring 5+ years of progressive perioperative nursing leadership experience in a hospital setting. 
  • Master’s degree and either a BSN or MSN required.
  • Active nursing license required and can works towards obtaining a New York license.
  • AORN, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
