The Position

• The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will be responsible for overseeing strategic, operational, and quality initiatives for nursing operations within the WellStar North Fulton Hospital.
• Reporting jointly to the Hospital President and Chief Nursing Executive, the CNO will be responsible for developing, organizing, and providing ongoing leadership for the Nursing division.
• This leader will exemplify a steadfast dedication to collaboration, working closely with fellow CNO’s across Wellstar to drive the implementation of best practices, further enhancing the quality of care in Atlanta.
• The CNO will be expected to review and identify operational opportunities throughout the service lines while recognizing and stabilizing the operations in place. 
• Ideal candidates will be tenured executive nurse leaders with excellent communication skills and approachability. They should also demonstrate a transformational and collaborative leadership approach. Previous experience working in a large, complex medical center is preferred.
• This exceptional leader will bring a proven track record of spearheading shared governance initiatives and fostering highly successful Magnet nursing teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and nursing degree required. 
• Successful Leadership experience within a healthcare setting required.
• Minimum 10 years experience - Demonstrated progression in management/leadership experience in a hospital or health system.
