The Position

  • The Interim Nurse Manager, Operating Room, Off-Shift will assist in the oversight and day-to-day operations of 24 ORs. 
  • Reporting to the Director of Surgery, this leader will oversee a team of eight direct reports and 200 FTEs. 
  • The shift is from 3 PM – 11 PM, or 2PM - 10 PM, rotating every other weekend. 
  • This Nurse Manager will assess the team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring stability. Their focus will be on enhancing operating room process efficiencies. Additionally, they will manage the safety reporting system and record any incidents.
  • Ideal candidates will be robust, seasoned leaders with a proven ability to hold staff accountable and engage in challenging conversations. Candidates should be empathetic and capable of building relationships.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Active RN license required.
  • A minimum of five years of OR leadership experience required.
