The Position

• The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a key member of the hospital’s Senior Management Team with leadership for the clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery of all nursing units throughout Parrish Medical Center. 
• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CNO will build strong collaborative partnerships with medical staff, hospital leadership, and across departments, as well as lead the immediate and long-term strategic planning for nursing services. This will include collaboration with the Board of Quality Committee to identify and resolve any changes in trends, patient care operating models, and operational delivery. 
• The CNO will monitor KPIs, metrics, and growth opportunities to ensure the achievement of both departmental and organizational goals that have been implemented. This will include close leadership of finance, quality, patient safety, performance improvement, and service initiatives. 
• This leader will demonstrate self-adaptability by effectively navigating uncertainty, change, and shifting priorities while portraying exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and mentorship skills to accomplish organizational objectives. 
• The CNO will be responsible for budget and policy development for all nursing units, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and identifying improvement opportunities around operational efficiencies and additional key patient care priorities.  
• Seeking an experienced nursing leader with extensive knowledge pertaining to regulatory expectations including Joint Commission, and will drive policy formulation, implementation, and adherence to ensure that all local, state, and federal compliance regulations are effectively upheld throughout the organization. 
• The CNO will collaborate with the CEO to develop both short-and-long-term fiscal plans and will strive to optimize funds and operational processes to ensure solid financial standing for the healthcare system as it pertains to capital budgets.  
• Candidates will ideally bring a strategic mindset and will adhere to the mission and values of the organization while delivering exceptional leadership and driving optimal patient care.  

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. 
• Active RN license is required. 
• BLS certification is required.
