The Director of Acute Rehabilitation maintains 24-hour accountability and overall management for the department. The position will be responsible for reporting action plans and outcomes to the appropriate management level and VP of Nursing, as well as facilitating system-wide quality and service
metrics that meet or exceed benchmarks for respective department and focus on continuous improvement. She or he will delegate to appropriate authorities to purchase budgeted expense items, and will serve as a resource to WMC and community on program/services.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in: budgeting, talent management (hiring/selection, 30/90 day reviews, performance management, career development discussions, corrective action), employee engagement action planning, employee and customer rounding, and regular staff meetings.
A bachelor’s degree plus a master’s degree is required. Applicants must also possess or obtain a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) designation.
