Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida is partnering with B.E. Smith’s Senior Executive Search services to recruit an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer. The Associate CMIO is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and use of clinical information systems to assist clinicians in the delivery of the highest quality and most appropriate patient care within the acute care services offered by Baptist Health. The executive will work closely with and be seen as a medical informatics leaders for the hospitalists group. They will represent the needs and requirements of the clinical community and serve as an advocate for the medical staff, promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting. The physician executive will partner with clinical informatics, information services, and with members of operations and administration to translate clinician requirements into specifications for new clinical support and research systems. Key goals include evaluating hospitalist workflow, ensuring efficiency of documentation tools, and dedicating time to each facility to learn complexities as well as develop collaborative relationships with all physicians throughout the system.
