Seasoned nursing leader steps into Senior Director of Neonatal Clinical Services role to guide patient/family-focused Neonatal programs.
Beginning May 1, Andrew Berndt will take on the role of Senior Director – Neonatal Clinical Services for Children’s Minnesota, one of the largest freestanding pediatric health systems in the United States. For more than 90 years, the award-winning Magnet organization has served its community as an independent and not-for-profit system dedicated to providing healthcare exclusively to children, from before birth to young adulthood.
Mr. Berndt entered the Senior Director search as an internal candidate backed with more than 18 years as a team member of Children’s Minnesota. Since 2010, Berndt held a number of leadership positions including Patient Care Manager, Sedation and Procedural Services, and Patient Care Manager of Extracorporeal Services.
“I love the hospital’s mission and the drive to provide the community with outstanding care,” Berndt said. “We’re looking forward to developing a program and give consistent Neonatal care to the community.”
Mr. Berndt holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Leadership, and Management from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
